Our Mission

At Champlin Park High School, we strive to provide students with an educational theatre experience. By providing four productions throughout the school year, we allow opportunities for all students to be involved.

These productions include full-length musicals and plays, one-act plays, student-written one-acts, and theatre for young audiences. All students are encouraged to take part—whether performing on stage, helping on the technical side, playing in the pit orchestra, or writing their own script.

We strive to vary the students’ theatre experience by providing a wide range of performance styles and cast sizes. Occasionally, smaller cast shows are chosen to allow students the opportunity to develop their acting skills in smaller setting—similar to a varsity sports team—where more focus can be placed on individual performers.

Our productions allow students to take part in comedies, dramas, classics, and modern works. A wide range of shows are chosen, including works not as well know, in order to build student resumes that stand apart from others’ when applying for college.
